Yesterday, the world looked like fall. The leaves had turned all sorts of pretty shades of yellow and orange and red and were starting to accumulate on the ground. Today, it's winter. The first minor dusting of snow fell on September 21st, but today--October 10th--at least 5 inches cover the ground. All the roads out of town were closed for a few hours this morning. Good thing I didn't have anywhere to go.
The University homecoming game kicks off at noon. It's 18 degrees. I think I will have another cup of tea and read a book.
