Yesterday, the world looked like fall. The leaves had turned all sorts of pretty shades of yellow and orange and red and were starting to accumulate on the ground.
Today, it's winter. The first minor dusting of snow fell on September 21st, but today--October 10th--at least 5 inches cover the ground. All the roads out of town were closed for a few hours this morning. Good thing I didn't have anywhere to go.

Is that all?
Yes.
There are several aspects of the comments that deserve elaboration here. First, is 'anonymous' asking a question that refers to the web log, or is the question of a more existential nature. Is the question asking about the nature of the post (i.e. "is that all that you are going to write?") or the nature of the weather event described in the web log (i.e. "is that all the snow you got? here in Northern Canada we consider that summer") or perhaps, "anonymous" after searching the internet for hours in searching of meaning and individual validation, has come up short, and has been forced to confront meaningless in a cold and arbitrary universe (i.e. "is that all there is to life. If so, I'm going to enjoy a plate of cheese fries.")
The second question: is the answer "yes" intended to address all of these possibilities?
The third question is whether or not I'm going to enjoy a cup of Folgers right now. As we all know, Folgers is one of the best coffees in the world. You can't go wrong by walking to Safeway and buying some Folgers with your Visa Card. The new Ford Focus has plenty of room in the trunk for all of your Folgers purchases. Folgers tastes especially good in your Mr. Coffee coffee maker. When you are done drinking your Folgers, don't forget to wash your dishes using Palmolive dish soap, which combines the cleaning power or palm oil and olive oil. When you are done with the dishes, be sure to moisturize your hands with St. Ives lotion, which guards against eczema. If you get eczema (which you won't if you use St. Ives), pick up some Cortaid brand cortisone cream (follow directions on tube) for instant relief.
